To inquire about the possibility of durable valorization saffron, this review highlights different techniques in vitro culture and varietal creation specie. Saffron (Crocus sativus L.) is sterile triploid geophyte propagated by corms. respond to increasing global demand for it necessary expand area under cultivation. Thus, can produce large quantity propagating material reduced time. It well-known traditionally used as coloring or flavoring agent, but recent research showed its potential health promotion. The interest components include crocin, crocetin, picrocrocin, safranal have all demonstrated wide range use medical field.
